Thomas G. Kelley, SPHR
Senior Vice President –Human Resources Management Services

Tom joined AmeriBen/IEC Group in 1995 and has over 32 years of Human Resources experience. 

Tom’s experience includes executive positions in human resources in the financial services industry, where he served as director of human resources for Benjamin Franklin, a $5.5 billion savings and loan company.  He was also a director of human resources for a $2 billion insurance company.  Tom is a past national chairman of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He has been a national and international speaker on organizational performance management topics.  Tom was also the first recipient of the Triumph of Excellence Award in 1989 presented by the Portland Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Tom holds a Business Administration degree from the University of Washington and graduate degree in banking from Pacific Coast Banking School.

He has extensive experience in healthcare cost containment, recruitment and staffing, performance management and productivity issues, employee relations, and employee communications.

Mimi Henninger, SPHR
Human Resources Consultant

Mimi has over twenty year’s experience as an HR Manager and Generalist. Her experience includes recruiting, policy and procedure development and interpretation, development of benefits and compensation packages, managing employee relation issues, and training.

Mimi holds a Bachelors Degree in business from the University of Washington.

Mimi provides client consulting and training on a variety of topics and manages the Resource Center and Project Support functions for AmeriBen/IEC Group.

Jennifer Paauwe-Riffe
Senior Human Resources Consultant

Jennifer joined AmeriBen/IEC Group in 2007, adding over 15 years functional and strategic experience to the team.

Jennifer’s operational field/corporate experience distinctly qualified her for consulting to both large and small organizations providing special emphasis in Employment Practices; Attraction and selection of talent; Training and Development; Succession Planning and HR compliance. As a skilled organizer and communicator she is able to take concepts and build productive systems maximizing the participation and utilization of a company’s most precious resource: its people. Jennifer is bilingual in Spanish/English and can easily assimilate with all Latin American cultures providing cross cultural training and the cohesive application of a company’s values.

Prior to AmerBen/IEC Group, Jennifer held progressing responsibility in key HR positions: Recruiting Director- NW Group – (Field); Employment Practices Manager (Corporate); Director of Human Resources- NW Group (Corporate/field) for Cintas Corporation a $4.5 billion professional services company. Accountable for 75 locations in 10 states and two Canadian provinces providing broad-based HR support and proactively conducting internal employment audits, reporting vulnerabilities and suggested action plans to the Vice Chairman and Executive leadership team. Ensured implementation of corporate initiatitives and execution on a local level.

Jennifer developed and implemented company wide programs and policies working closely with Littler Mendelson, LLP and Seyfarth Shaw, LLP including California’s new Sexual Harassment mandated training: AB 1825, Workplace Harassment, Orientation, Drug and Alcohol, Partner Terminations, Temporary Partners, and Lines of Communication. As a part of the Employment Practices team she assisted with labor relations and devised tools and guidelines to ensure consistent legal compliance in field locations: performance management, disciplinary processes, legal inquiries and general employment law. Conducted field audits and OFCCP self audits. Planned and completed formal complaints and investigations including professional summary and disciplinary actions.

Jennifer was a Cintas certified instructor for: Corporate Culture and Skill based leadership, Meticulous Hiring, Diversity and Inclusion, Generational Diversity, Building and Maintaining Positive Employment Relations, and Effective Performance Management. Evaluated training deficits in field managers and supervisors and identified cutting edge programs to build on core competencies.

Jennifer holds a Bachelors degree from Oregon State University and is studying for SPHR certification.

Dave Halter
Resource Center Consultant

Dave joined AmeriBen/IEC Group in 2002 after retiring from St. Alphonsus Region Medical Center as the Director of Human Resources.

Having served in key Human Resource leadership positions in the healthcare field for over 25 years and 30 years of experience in Human Resources affords Dave a broad knowledge in almost every aspect of human resource management.  Dave has served on the Executive committee and boards of United Way; Idaho Employers Council; and The ARC.  He has served as President of the Employers Health Coalition and the Human Resource Committee of the Idaho Hospital Association.

Dave received his Bachelor’s degree in Personnel and Business Administration from Gonzaga University and Master’s in Business Administration from Boise State University.

Dave has specific expertise in wage and salary and benefit administration, compliance, employee relations, performance management, leadership, organizational development, staffing and productivity, and strategic planning.

Sarah Stevens
Human Resources Consultant


Sarah Stevens joins AmeriBen/IEC Group with 10 years of experience as a HR Generalist and Manager. Before joining the IEC team Sarah worked for small and large companies, including several international companies.

Sarah has experiences in both, field and corporate environments. With a history of partnering closely with managers at all levels of the organization, Sarah is qualified to act as a consultant for various sized companies in diverse industries. Sarah’s areas of expertise include managing employee relations, recruitment and retention, HR compliance, and training and development. Among other accomplishments Sarah has been responsible for developing and conducting training sessions for fortune 500 companies, ensuring compliance on international issues and developing aggressive recruitment and retention programs. 

Sarah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Western Washington University and a Master’s degree in Career Development and Higher Education from Florida State University.

Corrina Brouillard
Human Resources Consultant

As a Human Resource Consultant for AmeriBen/IEC Group, Corrina’s passion is helping people in both large and small organizations to achieve their peak performance.    Corrina has over seven years experience in pre-employment compliance, retention, attraction and selection, project management, conflict management, workers compensation, employee investigations, salary survey and job description analysis, training and development, and EEO compliance.  She believes that a thriving workplace starts with strong communication skills and exceptional leadership.  

Prior to joining AmeriBen/IEC Group, Corrina was an account manager for Kimco/Kimstaff, a $200 million recruiting firm and Professional Employer Organization.    Corrina successfully worked with small and large organizations developing strategies for recruitment, selection and retention. She also worked on several safety initiatives, salary surveys and job description analysis.   She worked two years for PacifiCare Health Systems-- a 2.2 billion dollar company doing Lead Management with a 60+ member sales team in six states.   She effectively trained the Sales Staff and Directors on lead distribution and on the software management system.   As a New Business Associate for ADP, Corrina worked with several small and midsized companies auditing pre-employment compliance for their Human Resource Consulting service.  She has interned as a civil rights investigator for the Idaho Human Rights Commission where she conducted Employer/Employee investigations for EEO Compliance. She has also interned for Idaho Small Claims court as a volunteer mediator.    

Corrina holds a Masters in Business Administration from Northwest Nazarene University, and a degree in Human Resource Management from Boise State University.  She passed the Professional Human Resource exam in May of 2000, and is certified in non-binding mediation through Boise State University.

Jenny Olson  
Office Coordinator

As Office Coordinator, Jenny Olson plays a key role in the smooth operation of the Portland office.  She manages the day to day activities of the office, handles training enrollment and other scheduling and assists the consultants with projects; such as: customized training material, recruiting support and job description writing.  Jenny works closely with both offices to prepare marketing materials, training calendars and materials. 

Jenny comes to AmeriBen/IEC Group with a strong background in office support and customer service.

Heather Mastalski
Human Resources Project Coordinator
 
With Heather’s eye for detail, she is well-suited for her job.   As Project Coordinator, she compiles the details for and processes Affirmative Action Plans, Employee Engagement Surveys, 360° reviews, compensation and other projects.   Heather also creates AmeriBen/IEC Group’s marketing and training materials, backs up the Resource Center Hotline, reviews applications, sets up and coordinates Boise area trainings, builds and sends the Explorer, and is a member of the Annual Management Committee.

She holds Bachelor degrees in Human Resources Management and in General Business Management from Boise State University.
